About Us
Atal Utkrisht Government Inter College Kansakhet is located in Kansakhet village of Kaljikhal Block in Pauri Garhwal district. This school was established in 1884 as a District Board Middle School. It is one of the oldest educational institutions in the district.
1954, through the efforts of the local community, the school was upgraded to a high school, and the District Board transferred its entire building and land free of cost. In 1979, it was further upgraded to an Intermediate level for the Arts stream, and in 1984, it the it received recognition for the Science stream. On 01/11/1979, with the efforts of the local community and the management committee, the school was taken over by the state government.
This is the oldest school in the Kaljikhal development block. The official date of its acquisition is 01/03/1980.
The school has 444 nali of registered land. It is surrounded by forests of oak (banj), pine (chir), deodar, and rhododendron (buransh) trees.
The school is situated at an altitude of 5,500 feet above sea level. It lies on the ancient route, now known as the Satpuli-Pauri road, and is located in a scenic area with a healthy and pleasant climate
